Justin Thompson
Teaches: Guitar, Drums, Beginner Piano
A graduate of the renowned University of British Columbia’s Music Program, Justin has dedicated over a decade of his life to the art of music, specializing in both guitar and drums. Now 30 years old, he has transformed his passion into a calling, teaching the next generation the nuances and intricacies of these two dynamic instruments. Born with a natural rhythm, Justin picked up his first guitar at a young age and later transitioned to drums, realizing the potential of mastering both melody and beat. His academic journey at Humber College further refined his skills, immersing him in the world of jazz—a genre that demands both technical prowess and soulful expression. As a teacher, Justin believes in a tailored approach, recognizing that each student is unique. Sue Gibson
Teaches: Voice, Piano, Violin and Mommy and Me classes
Sue is a music teacher, composer, and mother. Originally from Sault Saint Marie, she moved to Toronto after being accepted into the Faculty of Fine Arts to study music at York University. While working as a music teacher, Sue developed a deep passion for teaching and inspiring students of all ages. She has worked extensively with children from 8 months onward in various settings, including schools, private lessons, and group music sessions. Sue's background includes musical theory, instrument training, and vocal techniques. During her younger years, Sue was actively involved in musical theatre productions, orchestral performances, and choral groups. She also learned to play the piano and violin. Music has always been a pivotal part of Sue's life and career, serving as both a source of inspiration and a medium for expression. Sue discovered her love for teaching music when she realized the joy it brought to her students. She believes that witnessing her students grow, explore, and develop a passion for music is one of the most rewarding experiences.
